Bio
I am an Ignatian spiritual director, transpersonal psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer, working for the past 20 years with both individuals and groups. I am also a ceramic and mixed media artist.
I have always been interested in the intersection of psychology, spirituality and creativity and more recently the integral nature of ecology to all of these. Having been a Christian for all of my conscious life, journeying at different stages through Evangelical, Anglo-Catholic and contemplative spiritualities, I would now name myself as something of a Christian animist, understanding all of creation to be imbued with Spirit, and being, in some sense, the Body of God.
My church is now the woods, the rivers, and my own garden more than any building.
Since 2018 I have been part of the Deep Adaptation community, understanding the real threat of collapse, and seeking a way to live in the face of that with love, resilience and community. I see my own role being one of supporting and offering a safe space for people - activists and
otherwise - to process their grief, anger, frustration and love. I am deeply interested in helping people reconnect to whatever they understand Source, or Centre to be, which we are so disconnected from in our contemporary culture. I believe it is this disconnection that lies at the heart of the ill treatment we have meted out to Mother Earth.
